Director of Communications


The Director of Communications works in a leadership position to develop and implement strategies to effectively communicate the vision and goals of AIA New York State as well as bringing forth the role of the architect in the community. Responsibilities include public/media relations strategies and implementation, research and writing of articles, further development of an association newsletter. Working with volunteer members; identify, develop and implement advocacy projects within the organization, as well as synthesize complex issues of the profession from different viewpoints. A background in architecture while not required is helpful.
