IPH (Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless) is hiring a Development Communications Manager. Serving on the agency’s Development Team, this person will develop and implement a strategic communications plan that supports fundraising and community engagement activities. The position will lead both broad-based and personalized messaging across multiple channels including print, digital, social media, and video. A successful candidate will be an exceptional writer who can craft compelling stories, concisely articulate program impact, and build a case for support amongst agency stakeholders. This position will support fundraising success by creating content and developing copy to support fund development initiatives including appeals, donor proposals and acknowledgements, and grants.

CSEA, one of New York State’s largest labor unions, is seeking resumes for the senior staff position of Director of Communications. The position is based in our downtown Albany, NY headquarters and requires travel throughout the state working with regional union leadership, staff, members, and media representatives. The position collaborates with union leadership to develop strategic communication and marketing objectives with various audiences both external and internal. The Director is responsible for the implementation of all plans on statewide and local levels with the assistance of regional communications associates under his/her supervision and a high-volume print shop. The Director is also the official spokesperson for CSEA and oversees and implements CSEA’s community relations presence. A wide range of skills and responsibilities are required including the ability to effectively articulate positions involving labor relations and public policy; communicate through various media; and supervise a statewide staff.
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s Degree in journalism, communication, marketing or a related field and six years of professional experience which regularly involved writing, editing, developing message and brand strategy, including two years in a supervisory capacity; OR a satisfactory combination of the foregoing education, training and experience. Candidates must possess a New York State driver’s license and a car for business use. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package.
