Among the 15 new members of the PRSA’s prestigious College of Fellows is Jo Ann LeSage Nelson, APR, vice president of client services at Pierce Communications in Albany.
“Election to the College of Fellows is widely and justifiably considered to be the pinnacle of a person’s communication career,” said T. Garland Stansell, APR, 2020 PRSA Chair. “It signifies and celebrates the meaningful work accomplished, long-lasting impact made and dedication shown by these professionals in their organizations and their communities. We offer our congratulations to them all for their achievements as well as their ongoing leadership.”
Nelson has long been active with PRSA. She is a past president of the Capital Region chapter, and was a member of the national board from 2015 – 2019.
“I am so honored to have been selected for inclusion in PRSA’s College of Fellows and to join the many incredible professionals who are also members,” Nelson said. “My work with PRSA began at the chapter level, where most good things happen in PRSA. This organization has been an integral part of my career and I encourage all members – and those yet to become members – to get involved, and stay involved.”
“Jo Ann elevates the practice of PR in our community, and adds value wherever she goes,” said PRSA Capital Region President Kathy McCarthy, Sr. Director of Communications for the American Heart Association. “We’re fortunate that she shares her expertise and knowledge so readily and in such a caring manner. The College of Fellows made a strong choice with Jo Ann. I know all of us congratulate Jo Ann on this achievement in her career.”
